Years ago, I made a few candies every Christmas time.  I made fudge, divinity a few times, one called penuche(?), toffee, those "Ohio buckeyes" (peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate)....  My daughter has made homemade caramels and homemade marshmallows in recent years.  I'm not a fan of marshmallows, but fresh made are fantastic!!!

I had the time and lots of kids to help. We did chocolate suckers, haystacks, fudge, reese cups, mold candy and all kinds of nuts and fruit dip in chocolate. Lots of work and kids are adults and still talk about all the fun they had.

Yes, I make English Toffee all the time.

I've made peanut brittle too as well as fudge.

Years ago when I was a kid and in home ec. My brother would make taffy. My sister would make these mint patties. I would help. I haven't made candy since!

Several kinds, fudge- which has never been successful, PB fudge, which is sometimes OK, mints- which were fine, Easter Eggs,  two tone candy- butterscotch morsels melted on the bottom, mini-marshmallows, then melted chocolate chips on top. Buckeyes.
