When our nonprofit law clinic had our fundraiser last December, we had a college acapella musical group and they were AWESOME. Well, come to find out they are at St. Louis University this Saturday. GA, the attorney for our little nonprofit group and her fiance were going - but then changed their mind because they have to be in St. Louis the following weekend and didn't want to spend the extra money. The WB and HB and their kids are going. MM, the nonprofit's assistant, and I were planning to go, but not if GA isn't going!!!! So, we convinced GA to go with the two of us! I told her we are always saying we need to do something together - and here's our chance! So she is riding with me and MM. I went ahead and booked a hotel - in fact the WB said to try Hotwire - and wow I saved quite a bit! I'll drive - playing "mom" here. I think we're gonna have a good time! and it's a four-hour road trip from KC to St. Louis so we'll have lots of time for "bonding" ... and the three of us in one hotel room - I'm looking forward to this, needless to say! Probably leaving KC around 1-ish on Saturday and driving home Sunday morning, but not too early.
