Here in the D.... It's Paczki Day!! (aka Fat Tuesday)

Do you know what a Paczki is? Have you ever had one? If so, what is your favorite flavor?

This is the first time I've even heard a Paczki, so no, I've never had one!  I don't remember ever seeing one to be honest.  I like cherry, though - do they come with cherry?  Or cream cheese?  Lemon looks good, too.  lol.

It's like a very rich, heavy jelly donut. 

Hmmmm.... Not sure if they have cherry but raspberry is very popular. They do have custard, it's amazing!

I love paczki's.  I like the cherry ones.  Where I live they make cherry, raspberry, blueberry, lemon, prune, Bavarian cream and cream cheese.  I can only eat one though.  They are very heavy and sweet.

I've heard of them but never had one.  I grew up with having pancakes for dinner on Fat Tuesday. Thanks for reminding me I had forgotten all about it.

I've never had one but it looks yummy!

Like someone else posted, they are heavy and sweet but also delicious.  The lemon is fabulous as is the custard and raspberry.
