Ugh, no gym!

It's been almost two months since we moved. I had shut down my old gym awhile back because at the time my husband had gotten laid off. He found employment 5 weeks later but I never turned on that gym again.

Instead I would walk around the lake, which I really loved doing.

I like it here, the house is beautiful but walking isn't probably conducive with the almost non-existent shoulder along the twisty windy road. I need motivation!

Do you have enough property to walk around it?

Do you have a basement where you could work out to some DVDs?

Can you drive to a different location where you can get out and walk?

Is there a school near by.  Quite often I go to a school and walk the track.  And sometimes I use the wii  at home.  Do you have a wii?

Me too! I had myself all talked in to going to gym yesterday, then I found other "more important" things to do. Maybe you could carry some light weights on your walk.

Look on craigslist for some used exercise equipment or E bay for some home workouts on DVD.

I'm sorry, that sucks :(   I am so blessed to have our state turn our old railroad tracks into a bike trail.  I live a block from the bike trail :)   I agree though, you shouldn't walk on a road.  I know someone who lost their only dd because she was jogging on a country road and got hit.  Can you drive somewhere where you can walk...the mall, the track at school?

No, this is rugged property, not walking property. Exercise for it consists of yardword.

Ha, actually I work at a high school. I prefer to walk something other than the track, but it is a backup option. :-)
