I was very over whelmed and awed when I visited the Lincoln Memorial.

Rome.  The combination of historical, religious, art and architectural wonders was just breathtaking.  There is enough in that city for you to be able to see something breathtaking and new, 10 trips over.

My runner ups would be the Grand Canyon, & Sequoia and Kings Canyon Natl Park.

I would love to go to Rome.  Yes Sequoia and  Kings Canyon are very beautiful, did you guys camp there or just go for a day trip?

1 mom liked this

We went for 2 days, but stayed outside the park.  For me, roughing it, is a Best Western!!

I have been to Rome too.  There were so many things that we wanted to see but we kept driving around in circles and couldn't find anywhere to stop the car.  I did get to see the coliseum though.

While we were in Italy we went to see Pompeii.  It is very well preserved.

I'd say New England.

My husband and I, who was my boyfriend at the time went to New York. I loved it there. One year, we went on a driving trip, from LA to San Francisco. We drove and went through a lot of little cities. It was so fun, even though my leg was in a cast, that was one of the most fun vacations I've ever been on. We even stayed in a motel one night, that reminded me of the Bates Motel. Lol.

I'm with you on that one.  Not a camper.
