No, I don't know anyone with autism, not even someone who has a child with autism.

My oldest son is Autistic. He was diagnosed at 3 years old with PDD-NOS then graduated to autism at 5 years old.

Think Sheldon Copper with a religious/philiopshy spin and you have my son.

I didn't know your child is autistic!  You don't mention him/her too often!  You'll have to tell us more!

Andrew has a form of Autism called PDD-NOS. I  used to babysit a little boy with clasic Austim when I was a teen. He was sweet as pie but was always tying to wander off and would get upset when you stopped him.

Yes! Several amazing people that I have had the opportunity to work with over the past 15 years :)

My 9 yo dgs also is PDD NOS.  He does very well and has been mainstreamed in school, but still needs help keeping focused and on task.  We are raising our 4 yo dgs who has some sensory integration issues.  I am sure this disorder has been around forever but when I was in school these kids were classified as "weird" or "quirky".

My great neice was diagnosed with autism about 2 years ago. She has made great strides in her pre-school classes and in many social situations. Yesterday, she actually went to a movie! This is a big step for her. She is five years old and will be heading to kindergarten in the fall!
