We had ham and beans, fried potatos, and biscuits.  Some of the best I have made.  A friend had a spiral ham  and was going to throw away the bone, I said no, I wanted the bone.  She had put a pineapple brown sugar glaze on the ham, I think it put a little different flavor profile in the beans.

Got home late this evening so we had ham and swiss sandwiches with lettuce and tomato,cottage cheese,bread and butter pickles and baked potato's chips.  And a slice of lemon meringue pie for dessert.

That sounds really good. We used to do the same thing with the ham bones.
