I covered the pillow cases in Vivid, put them in a gallon size sip lock bag, dumped in an entire bottle of peroxide, and a few squirts of dawn sish soap and they came out great!

After:

I have been adding peroxide to mywashing myself.  Also made homemad spot remover that works great out of dawn dishwahing liquid and hydrogen peroxide.

Does this work best on whites?

I have never used peroxide or dish soap for laundry so I am not sure. I use Vivid for almost all stains, it is great for getting out a lot of things, especially "female" accidents. I just rinse the spot in cold water, poor vivid directly on the stain, throw the item in a zip lock back and seal for  a few hours (usually over night), and then wash as normal.

You should have seen the water when I rinsed them in the sink before washing them (I rinsed because I didn't want to cause a suds overflow in my washer), the water was almost black, it was gross. I thought the cases were an off white but I guess not LOL

Now I just have to get some ribbon for them, there used to be some woven through the little holes and they will look just like new!
