We will be at my brothers house.  He lives close to a major casino and they usually put on fireworks and have a big street party.  We will go take the kids to the Discovery Museum for a little while in the day then go to my brothers.

Years ago I used to chase that media mythic New Years Eve party but none of it "worked" for me.

One year with my now, husband, we stayed home. We got in the hot tub. Which was at my old house. We has no hot tub here. We got busy, ate, talked about what we wanted to see in the new year and what surprised us in the old. It was wonderful.

Now, we our adult kids, we have a family meal, some board games, fireworks and talk like above. It's really nice but low key.

Hubby is working days so at least he'll be home for New Year's Eve.  Because his workday is so long (he gets up at 4AM and gets home from work around 6:30PM, we probably won't go out to dinner, but I'll make a nice dinner home & we'll have champagne at midnight - usually I have to wake him up, lol!

No idea but I'm sure it will involve dinner out and then home for the rest of the evening.

Sounds like a nice quiet day. We liked staying home because we knew we were safe.
