I was watching the movie The Blind Side. For those who haven't seen it I suggest it. It is a movie that makes you think, love, and even cry.
In the movie the couple "adopted" this boy who was on the streets. Became his family and brought him home no questions asked. ( I am not going to give the story away)
My question is if you knew a kid (even one that was a older teen) that was living on the streets would you open your home and heart and "adopt" them in your home?
I almost did, this boy was about 17 when he lost his mom. He worked went to school and was a very sweet boy. He was good friends with Meg and she watched him take the world of his moms illness, work and school on his shoulders. When she died we offered to have him stay with us, but a Aunt was found and she sign for him to be a legal adult. This was 4 yrs ago and he is still working and doing really well for himself.
Your thoughts?

You did a great thing for that child. :)
As for myself, yes, we'd take in a child and give h/her not only a home but a family.

Lecture rapide jusqu'à ce que je trouve quelque chose intéressante....
This is a true story!!!!!!!! If its the movie w/ Sandra Bullock in it. I am looking forward to seeing this. With me adopting......... it would completely depend on the circumstances. I am my best/f sons God Mother....... if anything were to ever happen to her :-( I would take her son in immediately no matter what!
