Are there any moms out there who are over forty and have toddlers?  I'm 43 and my daughter is 3 - sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world who had a child late in life!

There are a lot of 40 plus moms with young kids. Most of my friends where over 40 before they had their first, I was one of the young one at 30. Just think of all the knowledge and experience you have to offer!

OH MY GOD thank you so much for your replies - this is going to sound silly, but it brought tears to my eyes knowing there were other people out there who get it!

Hun, I didn't have my son, Mikey, until I was 41!

Did people tell you that you were "crazy" for having a baby so "late" in life?  I got a lot of that - so judgemental!

If they did, I didn't hear them.  I have never been happier than I was then!

Wow, that is EXACTLY how I feel...I was told for 25 years that I wouldn't be able to have kids, then lo and behold I was pregnant at 39 and giving birth at 40!  But the thing is, as much as I SO wanted a child, I think if I had had one when I was younger I would have been a LOT more nervous and anxious (late bloomer maturity-wise LOL!) - I LOVE being a mum now - I just can't believe how many people have expressed opinions about why this shouldn't be the case.
