It happened to me!  Couldn't believe it.  I signed up to do an online business, tried to do all my homework, seemed like a very ligit business and still not sure they're not, but the wierd part is I would get phone call after phone call to do this for the business or that.  In the process of this, they supposedly help you get lower interest rates on your cards.  Something just didn't feel right yesterday morning so I tried to make some calls, nothing! Got on the phone with my credit cards, BAM, all sorts of shit on there.  Got all of them shut down, downside, because they pay me, they have my SS# so they have access to all sorts of stuff.  I called my atty general, credit bureau's, bank, etc.  put passwords on the bank accounts, as it would do no good to cancle and change accounts, they have my SS#!!!  what a freaking night mare!  I just thought I would share, I almost had coronary arrest yesterday!!!!

omg!  I'm glad you caught it in time before it could have gotten so much worse!  I will never understand how someone could do such a thing to anothe person

in this little business adventure, I forgot to mention, I MAXED OUT MY CREDIT CARDS!  none of them are very high, I have no complaints there, but in that, they couldn't really do anything cuz there was nothing to work with!!!  can you believe maxing out my cards was a blessing in disguise!  really the only thing bothering me right now, is the SS#.

 Keep your eye on your credit report..this happened to dh and 8yrs later we are still trying to clean it up.   The dumbazz opened credit cards, bank account (not sure how he did this), loans etc.  All of it was in Maryland and dh lives in TX NEVER has left....plus they misspelled our last name (ours has a weird spelling and he used the common one).

Stay on it!!  Also, have you gone to the FBI site and reported it since it?  We were told to do that by the bank and did it all on-line oh and file with your local police's fraud dept. too.
