Yep..I use it in soup,  delicious coleslaw, which pairs wonderfully with fish..and other meals.  (I love it...so to me it goes with everything.  Homemade saurkraut as Maryg says?  Oh baby...so good on sausages and hot dogs!!

 fill with ground beef,chicken, turkey and rice and make cabbage rolls for a long time...get freezer bags and set up your portions and you can blanch (sit in boiled water) some and freeze for other uses later on...what you can't use donate to food bank
