Do you host or go to: Tupperware, Partylite, etc? I love going to these parties but can only afford smaller priced items. It's fun to mingle and get out!

I livein NJ- the ladies go to CostCo for their little pigs in a blanket thingees that they warm up their their oven.

BTW: what does LMBO mean?

Quoting sahlady:

LMBO!  whoa baby... you need to come to our neighborhood.  A party of any kind is a food competition.  The ladies here would sooner walk through the school parking lot naked than served a warmed up anything.  If you can not cook you cater.

Quoting Ms.KitKat:

I HATE home parties! I hear the ladies talk about a home party- I run in theopposite direction. I don't like giving them and I don't like going to them.

I'm not anti-social- really- I'm not! LOL

It just seems that home parties are forced shopping- or shopping on-demand. I don;t want to sit around bs-ing with a bunch of people and playing games and eating warmed up frozen food and buy stuff that is over-priced.

Agree with most others.  DO NOT like these parties and I try to avoid them like the plague.  Although, I have to say that one Christmas season, a friend of a friend had an open house.  She made and sold her own candles.  She had them displayed throughout her home with price tags on them and if you wanted one, you just pick it up and give her the money for it.  There was no sitting around listening to a sales pitch, it was truly a mingling crowd with non "warmed up" frozen food and drinks.  No pressure.  I was ok with that.

I love the home parties, Tupperware, for ladies only, they used to do Mary-Kaye and home interior but with the economy they have been pretty far and few between anymore, it a shame
