DD's Redoing Grandma's Photo Albums, Need Advice ASAP!
DD is visiting her grandmother, who wants to take her old pictures out of the old plastic pages and put them onto safer pages that will deter yellowing. So DD went to Wal-Mart and bought new albums with plastic pages that say "photo safe." She thought new plastic pages (are these called magnetic?) would do. Then she called me for advice, and I have made scrapbooks before, but wonder if this is something my DD should undertake during her short stay (she's leaving CO to go back to NY on Sat.)
What is the difference between photo safe and acid-free? Can she just do these plastic pages and be done with it? Thanks! She's on her way to Michael's now, and I think she will need blank acid-free pages, corners, and glue. Anything else if they decide to go that route?
Any other options?
And BTW - Grandma wants to keep the old outer album cover for sentimental reasons!
