It snowed today!I live in South Africa, and it hardly ever snows anywhere except on the mountains.
Today it has been snowing all day & it is so exciting because very few of us have experienced snow before.
All my grade 8 & 9 pupils wanted to do was go outside and play!
My dogs are confused - the looks on their faces clearly say "What the hell is this?!"
Although it is really cold, the only two words that are swirling round my brain are "pretty" and "gentle". Love it! Love it! Love it!

EDIT: Apparently it is the first time in recorded history that it has snowed throughout the entire country at the same time. (News reports are saying in all 9 provinces, but we've only had 9 provinces for the past 18 years!!)

I really hope you still get to go!

My dh worked in Durban for a while. I was 5 days post partum with my third baby and he had the nerve to send me pics from his hotel on the beach!!! Beautiful like ive never seen. We were supposed to go to Cape Town for our 10th anniversary because i wanted to see the Great Whites at Seal Island but i was pregnant with our fourth and nothing would have worked out. Thats a long way from Ohio, USA. we get buried in snow every winter!

Enjoy it! I live near Buffalo, NY and it gets old fast. But it sure is pretty and fun to play in. My DGD and I like to play for awhile barefoot. I hope you let your students play in it all day! :-)
