Marriage tests.....

I'm on my 4th marriage, and if there is one thing I've learned to recognize, its when I'm being tested.  As I posted a few days ago, I was fostering a cat until I could find her a home, and she did a lot of damage to our home, mostly DH's belongings, 2 things that couldn't be replaced.

I brought her to work (animal hospital) until I can find her a home.  Last night he said, "I'm not mad at you or the cat, the damage is done, you might as well bring her back here." He said, "she destroyed the only 2 material things I cared about in life so it doesn't matter".  OY VEY!  Are you kidding me?  Yeah, like I would fall for that one.  I'd bring her back and he would think I was choosing the cat over him or something along those lines.

No way buddy, this isn't my first rodeo....I know better!  LOL

I guess I see marriage differently. It's a give and take scenario for us. Lot's and lots of communication, compromise, with a healthy dose of humor.

What I do know about men, is that when they make statements like that they're usually pretty sincere and no double meaning.

Good luck with the kitten!

Im not sure if hes setting you up or being honest. Tough call, my only suggestion is discuss it with him. But honestly i would leave the cat where its at, very distructive.

That's quite some cat.  To pick the only 2 things in the world he cared about.

My thoughts are he's sincere but do you want the rest of you house destoyed? I feel for the cat, I love them. I don't know what the answer is for that baby.

I have to admit that men usually don't have double meanings when they say things, so he is probably sincere. As for the cat, get a BIG water bottle if you decide to bring him back home. lol

If they were his 2 most preciouse possesions (what where they?) why were they out and available to get messed up?  My dh has a very prized newspaper (put away) & watch that is in a case...up and out of danger-we have a crazy puppy....
