We have one dog!  A yellow purebred lab that we got as a 2 month old puppy.  Her name is Raegan!!  She will be 11 on Sept. 24th.  Will have to go shopping for some new toys and special treats for her birthday.  :))  She is a very large dog - about 105 lbs.  I have read that larger dogs tend to not live as long.  I sure hope that she sticks around for a few more years because she is definitely one of the pack here, a true part of our family!!!

How about your pets??  What do you have, how many pets, and their name(s)?

Here is Raegan chillin' on her comfy bed, with her favorite pet chicken that has feet that are chewed off.  lol

well she loves animals for sure.  I have become attached to her Lucy, not only am I allergic to cats but dogs as well.  I seem to handle Lucy ok, and Pumpkin baths her regularly which helps.  me being allergic has totally saved my sanity from having all those pets she wants.  she considered being a vet, but she hates school!  who knows if this will change down the road or not! lol

if pumpkin had it her way we would own every animal on the planet!!!  thank god I'm the mom!!!

One animal is enough for me!!!!  I am not that into pets, only got the dog for my hubby and son mainly!!  But I have really grown attached to her as well, since I am with her the most and take care of her more than my dh does!!  Sounds like your Pumpkin needs a career as a vet or farmer someday!!  lol

I am pretty sure that all of you know my Wolfie, since I post about him all the time. LOL. He's a 2 year old DDR German Shepherd. He definitley marches to the beat of his own drum and he is the smartest dog that I have ever come across. He certainly keeps us on our toes. Last week, he grabbed the zipper on the screen house between his teeth, and unzipped the door to let himself out. My mother says he will be speaking english in no time. hahaha

This is Sammi, she was rescued by us 2yrs ago last month, not sure how old she is, they said 2-3 at the shelter, but the way she acts at time, I say 3-4yrs now, LOL

She is DH's dog for the most part, she loves me too, but he's her fav. She makes me laugh daily, just from all the goofy things that she does!

2 of these are my furbabies:  Miss Scarlett the Saint Bernard, Pierre LeBlanc the Bichon Frise, the little beagle puppy was found nearby and we are hoping to find his family or a permanent family for him and on the outside of the pen is the backend of Coco our Boxer/Chow mix.  We are giving her a break from the puppy, she loves to mother anything smaller than her and he has been trying his best to nurse from her.

The problem with the Maltipoos (my stepdaughter breeds them) is that they are tiny. So, like my Chihuahuas. When you are used to your dog weighing over 100lbs, that little dog seems invisible. It sounds terrible to say, but it is true. It is like having a cat. (JMO)

I understand about the hair thing. I am still finding Capo's hair. We moved "his" couch. It had been in one place because it is huge, and my house is small. The hair that was underneath it, could form another Lab, and I just bawled my eyes out. We bought it for him. So, we are looking for a small table and chair set to replace it, and then it will go out of the house but for not it sits there, and it there. I used this shampoo on him that smelled like baby powder. The couch smells like him. Sometimes, I just cannot even look at it. Other times I want to lay on it (I don't because I am a germ-a-phobe). So getting rid of it will be bitter sweet.

That is really sad........for both of your boys!!  And labs make wonderful pets!!!  But my Raegan is a horrible shedder, all year round!!  I don't get much of a break!!  Drives me crazy because I am somewhat of a clean freak.  lol  So my next dog (once she goes) will be a little maltipoo (half maltese and half toy poodle).  Have researched that "designer" small breed and think it would be a perfect lap dog for me.  I can go be like the celebrities and have a fancy bag to carry her in when I am out and about.  hahaha  My husband will LOVE that.  :-)

Awww, very sorry for your loss!!!!  :(  And your birds are really pretty!!  Do they talk or just squawk??  lol

We have a few pets.  Up until a little over a month ago, we had 2 Shelties, but we lost our older one, and are still trying to get over it.  We are thinking about getting a Collie puppy, we are just waiting for one to be available.  We also have 3 birds and about 10 fish.

Yes, that breed is known for their smarts and ability to protect!!  Has he gone through any special training or obedience school?  You definitely should work with him because he could probably do alot of cool tricks or helpful things!!
