I don't wear hats! As for the baby, it looks protected as long as I wasn't cooking with oil that was splattering I think it would help get things done.

Common sense says no, however, I have cooked, cleaned, mowed the lawn and gone to the bathroom with a baby in my arms, attached to my hip, ect. You have to do what you have to do.
