Hubs would have Christmas decorations up year round if Id let him. Our compromise years ago was that Christmas went up the friday after thanksgiving and came down Jan. 1. Well, hubs won this year and the Christmas village isnt coming down until Feb. 14!!!!!!!
Hubs has a village that he LOVES that ONLY he is allowed to set up... of course I am more than welcome to take it down. Most of the houses were given to him by his mother, being that they are coming out Jan 19 hubs asked that we keep up the village since his parent have only seen it in photos. ugh... how do you argue with that?
soooo.... everything else is back to normal, accept for that village.
Well, maybe consider it a winter decoration, and not just for Christmas. I am amazed that your dh helps you decorate...how did you train him to do that?(...lol...)

My parents had a beautiful Christmas village they would set up in the Bay Window. Loved it!!!
They would leave it up all Winter long.
I have my village out still. I think it is also a winter decoration and I like to leave it out for longer, so I can enjoy it. Is this village any particular brand? Mine is odd and end pieces and I add to it occasionally. Also, what room is it displayed in your home?
ah we have to "bend" now and then...just think..."it makes him happy" and that's what we love to do, make them happy...lol
