If your child(ren) left home to move into an apartment or got married, did you let them take their bedroom set?
Both of my kids now live on their own. Both were certainly welcome to take their bedroom sets but neither did. My daughter is "semi" on her own, still comes home for school breaks so she still sleeps in her room often. My son wanted a larger bed so left his. But I wouldn't have cared either way.
Daughter took hers, son didn't want his.
when my daughter moved out she did take her bed.... now she's married and they got a diff one....but kept her twin.
I left the option of furniture up to my two sons. The two extra guest rooms came in handy for my ex and me. We were amazed with visitors stopping along on their trips accross the USA.
~Marie, I'm Morgan 'n Mike's mom!
If they need it of course, he/she slept in it so why not?
Well, technically, WE moved away from DD#1. She is living with relatives while finishing college, but we left her with almost everything she'll need when she gets her own place - her bed, dresser, bookcases, my grandfather's old desk, and a complete a dining room set.
