This would be a good indicator! This is the grocery store down the street from me at 6pm last night. Completely sold out of bread of any kind.

I moved to the mtns from the Gulf Coast. I am amazed how unprepared people are. The electricity goes out all the time because there are so many trees that fall. We have dozens of candles, a propane camp stove, flashlights, a battery operated radio, and a kerosene heater. I don't use many can goods, but everytime I go to the store, I buy a couple in case we are snowed in. I have a varied collection.

Looks like hurricane time down here. Stay safe and stay in touch!
I will. We are supposed to get near hurricane force winds as well, so we may lose power.
I pray you don't loose power, we lost ours last weekend for 32 very very long hours.
