nothing better than an intelligent sense of humor
I LOVE our school system here. There are so many very sweet, very bright kids, and amazing teachers..... they all work together to give the kids the most wonderful school experience!!!!
My 5th grade daughter is doing an american revolution simulation. They had the kids answer some questions and based on their answers they were either loyalists, patirots, or neutralists. They have done all sorts of fun "games" to drive home some points. Today's game was giving each kid a cup full of m&ms, then they read off a list of "rules" and if they broke a rule they had to give a certain number of m&ms to the tax collectors, parliament, and king. Rules were fun like: no wearing sports shoes, no wearing jeans, no wearing yellow, etc. So if the kids had it on they had to give up m&ms. Also there were taxes on sharpening pencils, borrowing supplies, and things of that nature. The kids had a blast and it really brought forth the ideas.
WELL, some of the patriots snuck in during lunch and dumped all the classroom supplies on the floor and put a hand drawn flag on top of the supplies.
LMBO! It was their own form of the Boston Tea Party. Gotta LOVE intelligent humor!
