40ish and beyond... 40ish and beyond...

I Knew I Was Getting Older When....

I started to notice service people calling me "Ma'am" instead of "Miss"

When I heard a song I partied to in college on a classic rock station!

How did you know when you were getting older??

My knees pop when I get up from sitting --especially if I sit with one leg tucked under my fanny.  It doesn't hurt a bit but sounds weird.

Yeah and the "ma'm" bit---I hate that one.

I am totally with you on both of those Johnnie! I also knew I was getting older when someone who didn't look that much younger than I am offered me their seat on the bus : p

Oh, and by the way, that happened to me this morning on our way to the race, and I graciously accepted it and was so glad I did. The bus driver was a maniac, and the bus was jammed to capacity including those standing. Kurt and my oldest daughter Rach were left standing, and when the driver whipped around curves and flew down hills like he was an NYC subway driver, they almost bit it.
