At first I was a skeptic. Jam is a lot of work. And making cloth covers for 144 jars was a real job. But the work was made light with so many hands, as portrayed in the below photo.

What I learned is that making wedding favors, the way we did it - in an assembly line that included me, my son his fiancee, her sister and mom, and her teenaged son and daughter - for one whole afternoon, is really about getting to know one another.

It wasn't isn't about the wedding doo-dads. Not that 144 jars of bumbleberry and jalapeno jam aren't yummy - they are!

More hands make the work light!

My trusty cutting tools!

Tracing the circle.

One teenager cutting circles with pinking sheers.

Stamping the covers with Mr. & Mrs.

Pinking all those covers was hard work. (Sorry - can't delete the extra photo no how, no way!)

Covered jam jars ready for tying.

Future bride and groom. Working together.

That looks really nice! The jalapeno jam sounds delish! I asked the bride to be, Anna, if she needed me to do anything. She said no, but thanks. I bet if I were living up there still, she's have me help out.
