So far just seeing the Parade here in Oak Lawn!
We always go to my SIL's. They have a big in-ground pool and everyone is welcome, well, within reason. She lets all the kids invite someone if the want, extended families, etc. The 4th is nearly as big, if not bigger than Christmas there. After a full day of swimming and eating, everyone heads to our place for illegal fireworks. Yep, that's right, we are criminals. We live in the country with a big, open yard. My BIL puts on a show like you would not believe! We have people drive past our place every year (that we don't even know) to park along side the road to watch. Everyone in our family (my side, too) knows every year to clear their schedule for "THE" picnic of the year.
The only glitch is that they are calling for even more storms to come through throughout the day.
our town has one of the biggest displays on the east coast. It starts tomorrow with the Parade, my dd's cheer squad is in it, then there is a big party in the park, way to many people for my liking... we will watch from the football field across the street! last year it was an epic fail though 50% of the fire works did not go off as planned. It will be televised from a local channel for the shut ins.
I love the day but we never do anything unless the kids come over.

No plans. Just a day off work to rest.... We usually cook out, but I nothing special this year.
Work (my final day at the university), then Han has swimming lessons, and then packing a picnic and heading for the downtown park in our city to hear the symphony accompany the fireworks.
No plans. Hubby is working. May BBQ when he gets home then go to watch some fireworks
