After Halloween, do you save your pumpkins, or toss them?

What types of things do you make with your pumpkins? soup, breads, pies?

I cut off any black marks left by the candle.  cut them into pieces and boil until soft.  let cool and remove the skin.  Puree the pumpkin, measure put the amount needed for each recipe and freeze it.  Most of it is used for pies for throught the year and the rest is used for cookies.

1 mom liked this

Compost. This usually happens after I've walked past it dozens of times noticing it is rotting and caving in, all the while thinking I should throw it away, but don't until I have to. Do you like to bake?

usually tossed it (have not done one in a few years now) as by the time Halloween was here it was to yucky to be able to do anything else with it.

I give mine (with any left over apples) to a friend of mine who uses them to feed the deer that come up on her back lawn.

Let the youngest toss it as hard as he can ( break into pieces) then the chickens eat it.
