margarine due to dh and my diets for our health issues.
Butter only. Too much artificial stuff in margarine (like on process step away from being plastic) . I use butter sparingly and use olive oil or grapeseed oil for cooking. Even manage my cholesterol using butter and olive oil.
OHhhhh hit a hot nerve with me! I HATE it when I am out eating somewhere and I ask for butter and I am brought margarine. If I WANTED margarine, I would ask for that! Butter butter butter only here. I have a picture somewhere..maybe another puter but I was at a store and a package or margarine said on it in big letters "REAL MARGARINE" and I busted a gut laughing in the aisle while my kids tried to hide. If margarine is considered fake butter ( OK, I dont even consider them part of the same family! No dairy in margarine) then what would fake margarine consist of. LOL! I go through so many pounds of butter this time of the year with all my bakiing :-) Oh and thanksgiving meal alone between all the different things I use butter in, I go through like 3 pounds in one day. No diets allowedon turkey day! Think Ill go buy some more! Go Dairy! ( my fave food group)

We use butter at home. Butter is better for you. Margarine is full of partially hydroginated fats. That indirectly raise your cholesteral. Even though the label may say cholesteral free.
Whatever comes in the tub, LOL!
