If you are not eating there, I don't think you should concern yourself with their grill. Why cause yourself unneeded stress?

Hmmm....I dont think we ever cleaned the grill.....I mean once it got "gunked up" yes, took foil to it, but when I was being raised, and we BBQ ALOT and all year long....after we started the wood fire would toss the grill over it and that burned off everything. Usually took a few hours to get the fire to die down and the  coals just right, at that point the grill was pretty sterilized.

Depending on the grill..you can burn stuff off and have it usable. Propane grills are supposed to be cleaned by using a wire brush and heating the grill on high for several minutes before cooking.

I have just always used grilling foil on mine simply because I hate to clean the mess and it keeps my grill looking nice and it's always clean.

Well I have to admit I don't always clean my grill ..lol. It all burns off. Unless stuff gets stuck on it then I'll soak the grill.
