Can you tell a joke?

I can't.

I suck at it. I try so hard and the harder I try I mess it up and am known to consistently mix up the punch line. Or laugh so hard in my attempt to share it, my audience gets annoyed.

And I can never remember them, even the really, really good ones that I swear I could remember, I never do.

Nope, I just can't tell a joke or memorize one either. Some folks are gifted at this joke telling.

How about you?

Oh I was so good at it. People used to ask my if I knew any new jokes any time we met. It is sad, but I have lost it. And telling it in English?? Forget it. I can only talk science in English well.

Oh, and let me add that recently I was trying to remember any of my old favorite jokes... Man, they are gone. Not sure what happened to my brain.

LOL!

I don't believe any joke can transfer over well into English from another language. I find that I spend more time telling them how funnier it is in the other language...

Maybe that's it...the English took over!

I believe that is the biggest reason! But I am worried how I forgot the jokes I knew... Oh well. I have not exercised my brain in that direction for the last decade. What did I expect?

I will just say no.
I'm more apt to say something funny without meaning to than to tell a joke correctly.
And that makes me...
Awesome.
