I avoid them. If avoiding them is not possible, I refrain from discussing anything going on.

She lives right across the street and ss plays there a lot it's just very annoying.

hahahahahaha...do you live across from my MIL...

These types are every where...but I know exactly the type of personality you are describing...I no longer bring up anything medical like to my MIL about our kids...I just nod..a whole FRICKEN lot!

I don't think there is anything you can really do about it...even attempting to address this over the years...she just keeps talking over me like I said nothing at all...

BUT...in her age...I will admit she has gotten better at finally listening and it is really strange for all of us!

I have heard of one uppers but why would anyone want to one up an illness???

She's one of these that has brain cáncer but never does chemo or radiation. Drama queen deluxe.
