FB invites for parties, graduation, Birthday, Baby Showers
What's your opinion on this?
honestly I ignore them. I think it's better to be formally invited.
Well it depends on how far out they are from the date of the event for me. I have had invites up to six months out, and unless I mark it on my calendar I forget.

We let our son do this for his grad party. He made an awesome page and invited all of his friends. Our family and family-friends got a invitation sent to them. We would never have been able to find out all the addresses of his friends he wanted to invite.
It turned out well, maybe a little TOO well. We had over 70 people in and out.
My husband and I would never do it for one of OUR get-togethers.
Yeah, I wouldn't do this. I think it is too impersonal and anyone can see it on fb, meaning that it isn't very exclusive. I also think email invites are tacky too. If it is worthy of someone attending something, than it is worth the time to send a snail mail invite in my opinion. :)
small get togethers are fine.... formal occasions should have proper invites.
I find them tacky for formal things, such as weddings, baby showers, etc. but don't mind them for things like parties where they are trying to get you to buy stuff.
Beyond tacky. I ignore anything sent through FB...anyone that knows me well enough to invite me somewhere would also know how much I abhor fake book!
