Thank you Ladies for all of your well wishes. His gout has not eased up very much.. He has been taking his meds.. What seems to work the best is ice packs to numb his knee..

I am glad he is feeling a little better; how long do the attacks usually last? Hugs!

Ooooo. Gout is nasty.  DH has it.  Tart cherry did nothing for him; Celery seed extract helped alot; but Urcinol was the best of the natural remedies.

Of all the things that made it flare up, wearing socks that had nylon, spandex and/ polyester was the worst! I have to buy him socks with over 90% cotton content to keep the flare-ups to a minimum. I sure hope he starts to feel better!!!!

Thank you for the info. I will have to look into the urcinol. As for his socks I have no idea if they are nylon or cotton..

The duration of the attacks varies. It started last week and we thought it was about over until tuesday night when it reared its ugly head again..
