Would you stop to help, or walk away?

Yesterday I had a doctors appt. I walked in and noticed a woman who was sitting alone with a set of twins. The twins were a few months old and both crying. I looked around the waiting room and you could see the faces of many that expressed the twins crying was bothering them. I waved at the one who was checking patients in (she knows me) and went and took the one baby that was being extra fussy and started to calm her. One lady was watching and shaking her head while others were just watching. Not a person offered to sit and help this young girl (which I found out the twin girls were not hers, she was helping her grandpa who was with his 4 yr old granddaughter who was the patient) who was waiting. The girls got calm and my name was called and the check in asked me to bring the twin to her that she would help while there was no patients checking in.

Being a mom of twins I guess it was natural for me to lend a hand and not walk away. The young girl kept thanking me and said she wont forget the kindness.

Would you stop to help or just walk away?

Of course I would help! People would rather stare, and shake their heads in disgust, then lend a helping hand. I'm also the PROUD GRANDMA OF TWINS, my young men are now 23 years old!(Wow,how time flies)

Yes i would jump on the chance to help...Kids can be a handful let alone twins! The mother instinct comes out when a person needs help....
