I'm not sure if there is another thread like this and if so I am sorry. But I figured I would start this one for everyone to show off their ink. I personally love seeing the different pieces and different styles the artists have done.
So post up so we can all see that amazing art. Even if it isnt finished post in progress pics :)
And don't forget to share if their is a story being the piece :D
This was my first piece at 18. I wanted to get something I had designed and I am a big outdoors gal so I wanted something related to nature. So I drew up and butterfly and added the Japanese Kanji for Speed (because my parents are ex-drag racers and I am a drag racer as well) and strength (because of all the hurdles I have come across in life and I have still stayed strong).

I then wanted to get some ink done to represent my airbrushing and what it meant to me. So I once again was back to the drawing board and designed a tattoo for that. My only mistake was going to a bad tattoo artist to do my art. He abviously didn't have the talet needed for this piece.

As I was very unhappy with the outcome of this piece, expecially for sitting for 6 1/2 hours and this is what I walked with.
Anyhow I ended up doing some more research and found an amazing artist that really got my attention and I had him redo the piece. It has taken numerous sittings and I am still not done (cause I keep adding things lol) but this is after 12 hours. (Obviously this is before my baby this past July lol).

Then I ened up wanting to add a piece for my grandfather who I believe I take after. Even though he passed before I was born I believe he has been there watching over me, he has been such an inspirations to me as he was a artist (like I am) but he worked for NASA. So it was back to desiging ideas for this piece. I wanted to have something that would tie into my butterfly but would represent him in a way. And I'd always say when I saw a shooting start he was saying hello. So the thought came to mind of a stargazer lily.

I have 4.
This was one of my first... I got two the first time I went.
It represents the love I have for my family. And I love hearts!

The other one I got at that time is near my pubic bone. It is a joke between my hubby and I.
This one I got last year as a gift from my aunt who was getting a tattoo at the time (from my artist). It is for my kids and hubby also. My boys (hubs included) love legos and my daughter is the bow.

And this is my newest piece. No real reason other than I like lace, flowers and hearts. I really wanted a chest piece and something feminie so my artist and I got together and came up with this.
Goofy picture but it is the only one I have that shows all of it.

Normal day...

Wow this is a georgous piece! I have been recently been thinking of getting a chest piece but I'm afraid of how I would hide it, for work and stuff.

Thank you :D !! I was worried at first but I currently don't have a job and won't be getting one for awhile, need to finish school first. I am hoping by the time I get a job acceptance will be the norm. Most "normal" shirts "hide" it though. When I get a job my worry would be my wrist and top of foot. LOL! What are your ideas for a chest piece??

I love how unique your pieces are and the stories are great! The coloring on the air-brushing is amazing!!
That is awesome :D LOL! I have one that would qualify as an inappropriate picture as well.
