Just found out from my Oncologist that my PET scan that I did last sat was clean! 1.5 yrs to go to say I am cancer free!!!

They say that from the time your cancer is no longer showing after the chemo until 5 years after you are in remission. When you have been in remission for 5 years and the cancer hasnt come back then they call it cancer free. Make sense??? I went through a stem cell in 2009 and was in remission so in 2014 if my cancer doesnt come back I will be cancer free.

That is wonderful news. I go for my 5 year scans / smear in January.
