Rule #1 Be Nice, if you cannot be nice and say something that the admins feel is out of line, you will have your response deleted with no explanation.

Rule #2 Taboo subjects/Not open for discussion. No posting about Mercury/Vaccines and does it or does it not cause Autism. If you do your post will be deleted without warning. (Taboo subjects will be added and removed at admins discretion, so check back here from time to time to see which topics have been added).

Rule #3 If you don't like what someone has to say DO NOT SEND THEM PM'S OR NASTY CHATTERBOX MESSAGES. Because we have no jurisdiction over what happens off the board, if someone should send you something offensive off the board, contact Cafemom.

Rule #4 If you REALLY want to debate your topic, Post it as a journal and Send us the link, We'll post your link and lock the thread so no reply's will be on our board, only on your own homepage. IF YOU DO THIS THE ADMINS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER YOU OR THE REPERCUSSIONS THIS IS YOUR CHOICE NOT OURS.

Rule #5: Advertising is NOT allowed.

All advertisements in the general forum will be deleted without explaination. Links to boards that are similar or are competing with Cafemom and/or that include message boards are considered advertising. If you are seeking volunteers to assist with another website, per Cafemom, this too is considered advertising. If you are advertising for another website, Cafemom considers this advertising and you MUST contact them in order to post. If you are a media source looking for information, you must contact Cafemom before posting here.

Rule #6: If you are having a disagreement with someone off the board, you may NOT bring it here. Posts of this nature will be deleted. You also may NOT post parts of private emails that you receive without permisson from the person that sent it to you.

Rule #7: If you see a post that you do NOT agree with and feel the need to reply, please keep it nice. No flame wars allowed. It will get your post removed without notice.

Rule #8: While we want to help everyone that does an Autism Walk or is raising funds for Autism, requests for donations will not be allowed. We are sorry for this decision; however, with requests coming in each day, it became necessary for this rule to be put in place.

Rule #9: Posts with addresses and phone numbers will be removed.  We would like to think the internet is a safe place but it is not. 

Rule #10: Please remember this just is a message board. And while some of us on the board may be "professionals" out in the real world, here in the virtual world, we can just give you advice. While many are knowledgable about many things, YOU need to be the one to deicide what will work best for your child and your family. Please, always consult with your child's Pediatrician and Your child's Team before starting any new treatment. They will need to know should your child have an adverse reaction or allergic reaction to any medications or treatments you should choose. As a policy, we neither recommend or discourage any specific treatment or therapy. We are here to offer advice and support but ultimately, the decision should make with those that know your child best.
