I realize there are different ways of spelling Aidan. I chose Aidan. Does it annoy anyone else when someone misspells their Aidan/Aiden's name? Some of my family & friends still spell his name wrong and it drives me insane!

yeah, even my best friend, his "aunt" , spells it wrong sometimes. I guess we should just take it with a grain of salt though, we did choose a hard name to spell since there are so many choices. It does make me mad sometimes though, depends on what mood I'm in. lol

Well I kinda screwed with the free world I have an Aidan that can be spelled Aidan,Aiden,Ayden and so on and I have a Chloe that can also be spelled Cloe so both my kids get every way to spell thier names but the rite ones HAHAHA. My own mom asks how I spell Aidans name sometimes haha
Everyone i know has spelled my son's name wrong at least once. i chose "Aidan" because it WAS and uncommon name but i thought i chose the obvious spelling. lol i guess not. i live about an hour from a town called "Ayden". and everyone thinks i spell it that way. a friend of mine made my son a plaque with his name on it (out of wood, and she painted it green and blue). she asked me how to spell his name i told her aidan. she spelled it with an "en". lol i told her i would put it up in his room but when he learned to spell his name it would have to be fixed lol.

I don't think it'd bother me so much if they'd simply pay attention to my typing/writing. I have family that lives out of state, I usually only speak to them via letters/email and the occasional instant message. It never fails, at least one of them spell Aidan's name, Aiden. Even if I just typed it, Aidan! lol. My mom spells it right, but she had the same problem with me. My name is Christa and almost everybody I encounter spells my name wrong or mispronounces my name(Crystal, Kristin, etc.).

I am starting to get used to them mispelling it. My oldest sons name is Camron and yes we left out the "e" and everyone mispells that one all the time, so now with Aiden, I am used to it. I also have a third son due any day, but we dont have a name yet...YIKES!! But hopefully we can chose something simple for everyone.

We spelled ours Aiden because when I looked it up, it says it was the standard Gaelic spelling. Now I see on other websites that the standard is AN. Whatever. If his name is misspelled he can talk to me about it. I've lived with people misspelling my name my entire life. LOL
