When did your toddler give up naps for good?

My daughter (2.5yrs) is kinda hit or miss onthe naps now. I know and can tell when she really needs them, but often fights. I still try to get her to nap eeryday, but sometimes she'll just stay awake in her crib. Its hard because she tends to keep my 1 year old up from her naps when she's fightinhg hers. And then no one takes a nap and its over tired, crabby ,sassy girls the rest of the day.
depended... I have one who napped right up until 1st grade (morning kindergarten)... and one who stopped by 18 months
My dd is just starting to phase them out now and she is 4.
We put our son down until he started daycare at 4, and they napped there, too. Didn't mean he always slept, but, being a huge fan of naps myself, I always insisted on at least a couple hours quiet time, lights out, just chilling, whether he slept or not. [wow, that was a lot of commas but I don't feel like going back to fix it, sorry]
DD is almost 4 and I still put her down daily, but when I work and she switches from my mom's to DH's mom's, neither of them even try anymore. And I'm like, and you wonder why she's such a handful! I'm cranky when I'm tired and I'm 32 years old. I don't know many people who naturally go all the way from morning to night without a little tired spell in there.
