Are they pretty successful on their own now in water?

my daughter was an infant when she learned to swim..  It was scary but the instructor knew what he was doing.  She absoutely loves being in the water, she is 13 now..

2, and they are completely comfortable in the water.  They are little fish!  We did infant swim resource with them.

It is a swim rescue program that teaches kids to save themselves in the event that they fall into a pool or water.  It is a HARD program for the momma, but so much better for the kids.

My girls have even been thrown into the pool on top of each other fully clothed and they are taught how to get away from each other.

Here are some videos of my girls learning..

WEEK TWO

(Please note that this is rough to watch, but my girls did react a lot worse than most kids, because they were able to rile each other up!)

WEEK FOUR

This is them a week and a half after the first video.  By the end of the summer they were all over the pool

This is a few months after lessons....

They now swim great.  I am even taking them by MYSELF to a waterpark resort this weekend.  That is how great this program is for little swimmers!

I put my kids in swim lessons at the park district. My 6 year old can swim but still wears his swim vest because it makes him feel secure. At the park district they haven't put him in a class where they give the kids more independence, they base it on what they feel the child is ready for, so hopefully this year he will be a level up so they can let him swim on his own a little without assistance. I think he'll be there though this summer. My 2 1/2 year old has the concept down but she's not ready yet, I will keep her in lessons though.

My dd and oldest son were both 6 when they learned to swim. I'm going to enroll my youngest this summer he will be 5. He is very comfortable in the water so I think he will do fine with lessons.
