I quit smoking 2 yrs ago and its been good. I had smoked for 20 yrs and i probably smoked less than a half a pack a day. some days more.

if you smoke how much do you smoke a day and tell us how long you have smoked and have you tried quitting or are wanting to quit?

and if you dont smoke do you know someone who does and how does it make you feel?

I smoked for about 10 years.  I quit the minute I saw the 2nd line on the pregnancy test... 5 years, 1 month, 2 weeks and 5 days ago.  Not that I'm counting.

DH still smokes.... pisses me off, spending my hard earned money on a selfish habit!

I've never smoked but both my dh and mother do. I wish they would quit, but at least neither smoke around my children.

I smoke; have been for about 10 years.  I would really love to quit but since the addiction has me soo badly, most things do not help. I can't do the patch because I already have a high heart rate and it throws me into V-tach ( high heart rate before heart attack) The gum gives my stomach a work out and I usually end up either throwing up bile or really bad stomach ulcers for a week afterwards.

I seriously think the only thing that will help is some kind of depression or neuro blocking medicine. Then again I would need a padded cell too LOL!

Unfortunately I've smoked for close to 25 yrs and have tried quitting so many times and I've tried everything.  Nothing works.  I really would love to quit!  Margie

I smoked when I was a teen. I quit when I was 20, the day I found out I was pregnant with my dd, she's 16 now.

I do not smoke, my mom and dad did, but they quit when I graduated hs. My hubby did when we first met and I told him I couldn't be with a smoker so he quit! Thank God!

I developed asthma at 14, and watched two grandparents slowly & painfully die due to a lifetime of smoking. No, I don't smoke.
