Do you use recipes to make dinner for the week?

Or do you stick to stuff you know?

How often do you throw in a new recipe....and does it stay around awhile?

I do a combo - I do some things I just know, and some that are recipes. I have a big recipe binder that's full of great ideas, plus tons of cookbooks I thumb through. If I throw in a new recipe, which is at least twice a month, it stays around permanently if it's a good one, and is tossed out if it stinks, lol. I like to try them twice, though, usually, once with following the recipe to the letter, and once doing my own personal spin to see if that makes it any better. If it doesn't work out the 2nd time, it's a goner. wink

I am usually cooking for myself so I don't do alot of new recipes but when I get in a rut I can cook a new recipe each night sometimes.

I usually stick with things I know, but every once in a while I change it up and use a recipe. I love to mix things up. Sometimes I just throw things together to see how they turn out.
