mom of 4...1 more day and I might explode

Hi all! I am new to this site and looking for other moms to swap "vents" to. My husband can't take anymore! lol

I have four kids ages 18, 13, 9, and 20 months. I just started back to work part time last month after 10 years. My oldest is starting collage this fall...I think (she is a little procrastinator) so getting her to sign up for classes has been a chore! She just got a car so now she thinks she knows it all!

My 13 year old is angry at everyone and wants to now live with his dad.

My nine is just caught in the "middle" and my littlest is having health issues and is seeing a specialist in 2 weeks.

I could go on and on, but I don't want to seem to crazy on my first post!!

My husband is excellent but can only take so much of me! I am trying to find some uplifting friends and maybe some of you are going through similar situations that can share some advice! I will try my best to reciprocate without nagging too much!

I love my kids and husband but need a little mom to mom time before I run away with my millions! lol

I could go on and on

Welcome to the group and CafeMom and I'm sorry to hear you're going through so much!  But we are a great group of gals who are good listeners so vent away!

I would tell the 18 year old that she's an adult now and if she doesn't sign up for classes, she won't be in any classes, then her free ride at home stops. :)

Then tell the 13 year old to suck it up, life isn't fair, go outside and play :)

The 9 year old, I would give tons of hugs and kisses and take him/her out for some quality time one on one.

The 20mo old, it's hard for me to tell you anything.  What are the health issues?

I'm sorry if I seem crass about the older two, lol.  I'm just not one to tolerate lazy/bad attitudes.

We can be friends I am always looking for someone to talk to! I am ready to explode on a daily basis and I only have a 7 y/o DD... there are always new problems to deal with and having another mom to talk to would be great!

Welcome to the group! I'm sorry there is so much going on.

Are you and Dh on the same page with dealing with the kids? I think I would need more info regarding the 13 year old, before offering up much for advice or opinion. Does the 18 year old have a job, and pay for the insurance and gas with her car? The rule here is if they stay after 18 (for school or preparing for school) they need to be working full time, or school full time, or both part time. Or they have to go. Be sure to give 9 year old some quality time, 13 year old needs it too. I hope things get worked out with the little one without it being too serious.

hello ! I'm also a mother of four. ages 12 , 9 , 6 and 5 !

vent all you want here! it's a great place for such a thing ! being a mom is just as stressful at times,as it is rewarding !  my 12 year old thinks she is 20 , my 9 year old misses his father so much he cries at night ,and my 6 and 5 year old are trying to slowly drive me mad with incessant fighting, and tattling , in between request for snacks that come in ten minute intervals!

just keeping a level head every day is a vicotry !

what are your little ones health issues? that can be scary and stressful in of itself! my sons was born with a condition called kyphoscoliosis. that means a portion of his second to last vertebrae was missing ,and if not for early surgery ( he was eight months old )than he could have been a hunch back.  he has two little rods hold his spine in place, but seven years later he still has a  pretty significant curvature. he also has bad asthma .

hang in there ,and welcome to cafe mom! i think youll find alot of women having silmilar issues ! and its great to talk to other moms!
