When we go the a Japanese Steak house I can.  They put "training wheels" on them for kids and I ask for them. I get laughed at a lot but they give them to me.  I can't use them like a big girl  yet, my hand cramps up and I always drop everything. maybe when I'm 40 something I'll be big enough to use them!

I'm not society's idea of beautiful......screw society.

Yep, my dad made sure me and my sisters knew how to use them.  Not sure why, but he wanted us to learn how.

I've been using chop sticks since I was 5 years old. My father taught me.

I've been using chopstics since I was very young. I can't remember the age. I was able to pick up a single grain of rice by the time I was 10... Something my older sis still can't do. I'm not sure if it's just my facination with the Japanese culture, or if it's something competitive in me that found something I could possibly be better at than my sister. My 2 year old is learning how to use chopsticks now.... She uses them better than her fork most of the time.
