Were you a Daddy's girl growing up,or were you closer to your mom?  Emotionally,I've always been closer to my dad.

Big old Daddy's Girl!! He and I would talk about everything (and I mean everything). I still talk to him instead of my mom. They're divorced and she still uses my dad as a sounding board to help her "deal" with me. lol. She and I just don't communicate well.

I was "Grandpa's girl" until he died when I was 9.  Then I was daddy's girl.  :)

Mom died when I was 8 and my 'dad' moved on a year later and completely biologically disowned me when I was 13 so neither.  My best friends mother more or less adopted me as her own from the 6th grade on and she was my true parental roll model.

I was close to both my mom and my dad...If I wanted or needed something, I went to my dad...If I was sick, or needed advice, or help withi school...I went to my mom.
