My baby boy will be a year in less then a month screamingand I want to get him a baby laptop or something like that. He is always so interested in mine and dads so I wanted to get him something age appropriate he might like and actually play with for more then a few days. I have looked around and not found much I like. Anyone have any suggestions? Or something different all together. We are on a budget and can't spend more then $50 but I want something cool, with lights, and he can interact with. Give me ideas!!!

V Tech makes lots of things like that.  Have you tried them.  My granddaughter just turned one and out of all her presents, she likes her little cozy coupe car the best.  She cries to ride in it like 24 hours a day.

each of my kids got one of these as a gift (but IMHO it was a waste... i should have regifted them)

my DS uses my old laptop now (since he was about 14-15 months old) and my DD uses my DHs old laptop (since she was about 18 months old)

DS loved his ride on toys better than anything. He was/is also always grabbing for our laptops but I don't think the stuff they have for that age excites them the same as mommy's computer does.

I got my kids this for their first Birthday and they loved it. It is also portable and the legs come off if you just want it on the floor.

They also got this and LOVED it!!!!

In all honesty my kids were even happier with a HUGE box to play in :D

A bubble machine, or one of those ball poppers like this. Both of mine loved them at 12 months. I aree with PP that the little laptops made for babies and toddlers bored my kids. You can do quite a bit with $50.

haha, I didn't check your link before I posted. I agree with your first link as well. My 2 year old still plays with it everyday.

My nephew had one of those ball poppers and my DD wanted to play with it every time she went over there.
