How to word this?

I stumble over this every year....

My sons were born on August 21, 2002 and August 21, 2003.

Whenever I say their birthdays are coming up -
I say "My boys' birthdays are on Sunday".
If I say "My boys' birthday is on Sunday" it sounds (to me) like they are twins...which they aren't.
The 'share' a birthday - but they don't 'share a birthday'.....does that make sense?

Now that I've completely confused anyone reading this....my question is -- in our situation - how would you word it?

I'd use this..."My boys' birthdays are on Sunday".

My boys were born 2 years apart on the same day as well.  Isaac was born on Jeremy's 2'nd birthday.   One of the 2 days I was trying to avoid(the other day being our anniversary a little over a week later and my due date).  I think I worded it  "my son's birthdays" people who know me know the story, I might explain it to acquaintances or strangers if I feel like it.

I would simply add how old they will be.

"My boys' birthdays are on Sunday.  They will be 8 and 9 years old."

So neat that they were born on the same day!
I'd say what she says.

This. To me it implies there are 2 boys each with a birthday that day.

Thanks for the input ladies -- I'm glad to see everyone would use 'birthdays' as well...I thought we were wierd for wording it that way.  LOl

UpdateAnnette -
My due date was a week later as well with DS#2 and my entire pregnancy I said to my OB - "ANY day except Aug 21...so I'll see you on Aug 21."  DH, Doc and I were all laughing after DS#2 was born on Aug 21.
