Selling clothes and toys on Ebay, Craigs List, Thredup or Shopify - does it work?

I have two little ones and of course most of their clothes I used to give to my friends with babies. Recently we moved to a new area and I dont know of anyone so I am considering selling some new (with tags) and high quality clothes at Ebay or Craigs List? I am wondering if anyone here used to buy or sell and what was your experience. I have great quality and brand new European style clothes (we are European so we buy most of our clothes and shoes overseas), and Ralph Lauren, Tommy H, Guess, Puma and similar. I intend to take photo of each item so as you can imagine this takes time, so I am wondering if this is worth of effort.

Thank you in advance for any tips you are willing to share.

U can see if there's a local Once Upon a Child type place. I've bought & sold things on Craig's List & been successful. I bought a 27in TV, found my landlord/house. I sold baby walker & other baby items. It's pretty cool.

I buy from Ebay. If you are looking to just get rid of them, I think it will work. If you are trying to make money, it will not. When I buy, I'm looking for "cheap" gently used or new clothing.

I love thredUP! I have been a member since 2010 and have received really great stuff!  We don't have a consignment shop near by to sell our kids gently used clothes to, so thredUP saves me time and money!  You should really check it out!

Craigslist and a local store that buys new, used and traded children's clothes... I have two near me are the best bets.  I believe if you want to be a retailer through e-bay you have to pay a fee.

I've tried. I would say better chance selling them local like consignment.

Maybe try consignment. I like that better since i can get rid of stuff at once.
