I guess I won't be getting that Mother of the Year nomination this year..

Today was a Minimum day at my kids' school. I wish I had realized that half an hour earlier..

My kids sat in the office for half an hour after school got out waiting for me.

Whoops.

(This pic is from the first day of school, but all posts are better with pictures, so I added one of my poor little abandoned kids, taken back when they had a Mommy who could actually remember their school schedule.)

Is a minimum day a half day? 30 minutes is nothing! They will forgive you :)

They are absolutely adorable. Your not the worst mommy though. I once dropped my child off at the bus stop only to return 30 minutes later when I realized there was no school that day.

Oh well.   It happends to us all.  They will live.

I didn't get my daughter from the bus stop and she had to walk home by herself and was in tears by the time she got here.   I watched from the corner as I talked to my neighbor.

You have probably beaten yourself up more than anyone else could. Things happen. You are a good mom because you obviously feel terrible. No one is perfect plus it is hard to remember school days that are out of the ordinary. Your children look like happy kids that will forgive you and love you no matter what!
