I hear a lot of people saying they do. And some people saying that day is only for adults or sweethearts.
Oh yes! I love buying gifts for holidays! I especially love buying gifts for my kids!
My oldest's birthday is Valentine's Day, so I feel the extra need to celebrate Valentine's Day also. I don't go all out for V-day, I just get each of the kids a card, a cute stuffed animal, and a small box of chocolates/candy.
That's what I do and my family gets mad.

Yes, she gets a card and usually a few small gifts.
That's what we get ours.

Why do they get mad? I usually get a little something for my niece and nephew too.
I really don't know maybe cause they can't get their kids nothing. They refuse to work and live off my mom.

For us it's about your sweetheart/lover. The kids get enough candy and cards from their friends at school. I take that back. I sometimes buy chocolate cupcakes or cake for the family, but not every year. I think it's a stupid day anyway. My husband and I do not go all out. We have a date night before or after Valentine's day and go to a nice restaurant, but that's about it.
Nope. They get enough crap at school.
